Los Angeles is my main beat at KFWB Newstalk 980 as a sports anchor and reporter since 1993 (I also report for KNX 1070 Newsradio). A 3-time Golden Mic Award winner for best sports reporting in Southern California radio, I’m an L.A. native who has covered many of the world’s top events including numerous Super Bowls, World Series, NBA Finals, NHL Stanley Cup Finals, BCS Championships and Rose Bowl games, golf majors including U.S. Opens, the PGA Championhip and British Open, tennis grand slam events at the U.S. Open and Wimbledon, soccer’s World Cup, and the Breeder’s Cup. Currently also about to begin my 6th season as a studio host and previously a sideline reporter for the Sports USA Radio Network’s weekly NFL and NCAA football broadcasts along with over a decade as the on-court voice of the now defunct Farmer’s Classic ATP tennis event at UCLA and 5 years and running as the 18th green announcer at the LPGA’s first golf major of the year, the Kraft Nabisco Championship in Rancho Mirage, California. Please leave me your feedback on my posts (at the bottom of the page where it reads ‘leave a reply’) to let me know what content you would prefer here and how to make this place as user friendly as possible for YOU. And thanks much for every time coming to my sports page.

Ted’s Stuff
Great Blog!
Ted,
Great article about Elgin Baylor. I am in 100% agreement with you. I think Baylor was the reason Chick Hearn developed expressions like “Leaping Lena”; “Hangs in the Air”; etc. Baylor was a treat to watch.
One omission: When you listed Laker centers who played with Baylor, how could you omit Ray Felix?

Ted,
Just have to say, you rock.
